If you saw my latest post, you would know that I had spend last weekend in Washington D.C.! This city is quickly becoming one of my favorite places to visit. There is just so many fun things to do and see, such as numerous museums and beautiful places to just take a walk like The National Mall. I figured I would take you through some of my favorite things to do and places to go in D.C.
On Friday it was a pretty nasty day and was raining all day. So I figured it would be the perfect day to explore some museums. I decided to check out the Newseum as I had never been there and heard it was amazing. It definitely surpassed my expectations. This museum is so amazing and they have something everyone can enjoy. I would suggest setting aside at least 3 hours to go through this museum because there are so many exhibits to see.

On Saturday, I got to do the tour of Ford’s Theater, the location of Abraham Lincoln’s assassination. It’s is one of my favorite places I have been to in D.C. There is a museum in the basement of the theater where is tells you all about Lincoln’s life and presidency. On the tour you also go into the theater, where a guide tell you the story of what happened the night of Lincoln’s assassination. Than you make your way across the street to a tour of the house that Lincoln died in. The whole thing was really interesting to see and learn about!

Later that day we went to the Archive’s museum where the Declaration of Independence and The U.S. Constitution. Unfortunately they don’t allow any pictures to be taken on the Archives museum, so I wasn’t able to get any pictures inside. However, It was very amazing to get the see some of the most important documents of the U.S history.
After that I walked around the National Mall and went to see all the monuments!
