Hi everyone! I hope you had a great weekend! I am home from my vacation, and I wish I was still in South Carolina. I visited Hilton Head Island, SC. If you haven’t heard of this amazing vacation spot, it is only about 45 mins from Savannah and right off the coast of Bluffton, SC. I have been going on vacation to Hilton Head for many years now. My grandma’s cousin lives there, so we go to visit them every year for our family vacation. It is such a fun beach island, with so many things to do and places to eat! So I thought I would share a travel guide with you!
Restaurants
Let’s start off with some amazing food spots that I loved visiting on my vacation.
Amigos Cafe y Catina:
If you love Mexican, this is the perfect restaurant for you! It has delicious food, margaritas, and service. Their BBQ chicken salad is my favorite salad ever, and they serve it in a tortilla bowl. They have have so many other delicious options such as tacos, burritos, and of course chips & guacamole. It was so good I went twice during the week. I would definitely recommend!!
Tiki Hut:
If you are looking for some fun drinks such as piña coladas, mudslides, and daiquiris, this is the place to go. It is a bar/restaurant right on the beach with so many delicious drink and food. I had their Lava Flow drink (mango daiquiris with strawberry puree) and a mudslide. Both drinks where very delicious!! the view of the beach doesn’t hurt either!
The Lady and Sons:
This restaurant is actually in Savannah. We went into the Savannah for one of the days since we had never really been there. It is also Paula Dean’s restaurant! The food was exactly what you would hope for from Paula Dean. If you are looking for some delicious southern food, I would go here. When you sit down they bring you these delicious cheddar biscuits, they were definitely a hit with my family! I ended up getting the chicken pot pie, which was so yummy!
Activities
Paddle Boarding/Kayaking:
For the past few years that we have been going to Hilton Head, we have been going paddle boarding/kayaking. If you have never been, you should definitely try it. Two years ago we actually bought one, so we could go all the time! We do still rent them as a family on vacation. We rented them at Outside Hilton Head- Marina Activity Outpost. It was at the Shelter Cove Marina, near the Disney Resort on Hilton Head.
Harbour Town:
Walking around Harbour Town is a really fun thing to do! It is located in Sea Pines, and is probably most known for it’s light house. There are a bunch of shops and restaurants. If you are there in the morning, there is a cute little cafe, Harbour Town Bakery & Cafe, that has delicious breakfast sandwiches and coffee. If you are there later in the day, there is a cute outdoor bar, Harbourside, that has yummy drinks like piña coladas and an ice cream shop. There are also a bunch of red rocking chairs all around the little town that looks out onto the marina.
