Sharing is caring!

Hi everyone! I hope you are having an amazing Monday! Can someone please tell me how it is already the middle of November!  I have been working on so many fun things and so many gift guides. I can’t was to share it all with you guys. I am really excited to share todays post with you, as it is all about my experience getting….. HAIR EXTENSIONS!

I have seen so many people talking about having hair extensions, so a few weeks ago I had been looking into getting some. Let me tell you, I know there are so many different options. I had mostly been looking into tape-ins and clip-ins. I know they are complete opposites, one is semi-permanent and lasts 6-8 weeks (until you have to get the move up) and the other you can clip in and out as you want. Also there are so many options as far as brands. I had been following a few of them just from hearing about them over the past few months, and one of those was Glam Seamless extensions.

I found out that they have a Glam Seamless salon in Soho, NYC, and I was invited to go visit and get some extensions! Before I went I did a lot of research on clip-ins and tape-ins, and I ultimately decided to so with the tape-ins. I had wanted extensions for a while, and I decided that I would rather have them instead of having to take them in and out all the time. This was just my personal decision; of course people want extensions for different reasons. Like if you want them for special occasions and not all the time, clip-ins would be perfect!

Now that you know all about my extension choice, I want to talk all about my experience at Glam Seamless Salon. First of all the location is in Soho (who doesn’t love Soho), and it was so easy to get to from Penn Station. The store itself is two levels, and so pretty inside. There is pink everywhere (my favorite color!!). The down stairs has so many different hair extension options on display. Not only do they have so many colors they have a bunch of options in regards to clip-ins, tape-ins, halos, etc. The first thing the lovely girls at the salon was color match my hair to find the perfect color for my extensions. Once we picked a length and the two colors, they took me upstairs to the salon part.

They first washed and dried my hair to get all the oils out in order to make sure the tape-ins stay. Next came the extensions part! She separated my hair into different sections and used one of the colors on top and the other bottom. Because they are tape-in you put one piece then your own hair and another extension. They tape them together to your hair. So, I found that even though I have thin hair, I have a lot it. This combined with the fact that my hair had a blunt hair cut, led to the need for more hair extensions. She said that the amount of extensions is different for everyone, and it depends on your own hair.

After all the extensions were in, my amazing stylist curled my hair. Let me tell you I had so much long hair, I honestly felt like a mermaid. It was amazing!! I had such an amazing experience at Glam Seamless, everyone was so lovely, and my hair came out incredible. If you are interested in hair extensions in NYC, I would stop buy here. It’s so nice to be able to get to actually see and feel the extensions, instead of just ordering it online, almost blindly!

Before

After

I have had my hair extensions for a week now, and let me tell you I love them! I definitely need a day or two to get used to have them, but know it feels like my hair has been this long for a while. I have washed them, and I just had to be a little extra careful. I can’t say enough about how amazing my experience was at the Glam Seamless salon, and how nice  and helpful all the wonderful ladies who work there were. The extensions themselves are made of really amazing quality Remy hair, and it is so easy the style it just like my normal hair!

Thank you so much Glam Seamless for gifting me with these amazing extension and such a fun experience! Also I wanted to thank Emily from Glam Seamless for taking my pictures during the process!
