I went to Washington D.C this weekend and I had so much fun exploring this amazing city! I was there for a graduation, but I had the opportunity to do a little sightseeing.

The first day I was there I walked around Georgetown. It is so cute there! There are so many shops, including a Lily Pulitzer store, which I was so excited about because the closest one to me is like an hour and a half away. I spent most of the day in Georgetown shopping. I got lunch at this really nice restaurant that is on the water called Nick’s Riverside Grill. Its about a 10 minute walk from the main street in Georgetown. I also had to go to the original Georgetown Cupcakes. They were of course delicious. I have been to the one in NYC, so I was really excited to get to go to the original location!

Later in the day my family and walked along the mall and went to see the Air and Space Museum. I love this museum and it is so much fun! There are so many planes to look at and fun activities to do here including a planetarium and an IMAX theater.

For dinner that night we went to a restaurant in Chinatown called Matchbox. I had this delicious pesto and chicken pizza. I would definitely recommend it if you’re ever in D.C. For dessert we went to a gelato store call Pitango Gelato.

The next day we went to a restaurant called Front Page for breakfast they had a normal menu as well as a brunch buffet. The food was delicious and had such a variety.  Later in the day we went to the Holocaust Museum and the American Museum. That night we decided to go back and walk along the mall to see all the monuments at night. It was so beautiful to see them all light up. It was the perfect way to end the trip. I absolutely love D.C. and I cant wait to go back!
