Sharing is caring!

Hi everyone! It’s been a little while since I have wrote a post on here. It’s been quite a week here. I was planning on putting up this post a few days ago, but I didn’t have internet because of the tropical storm that hit NY last Tuesday. Last week my family decided to go out east for a few hours, so I wanted to share some of the fun things we did on the North Fork.

The first place we went to was Patty’s Berries and Bunches in Mattituck. This is a cute farm stand where you can pick your own berries! When I was there they had blueberries you can pick. For $7 I got to pick my own blueberries and fill up a container. It was so much fun to get to pick our own fruit. Since we had so many blueberries we made a lemon blueberry pound cake. As far as covid precautions, even though it is outside we wore our masks the whole time (except for my picture) and so did the couple people that were there too.

We also went out there to visit some wineries. As far as the wineries there are some that are just open for pickup or to get a bottle, but there are some that are still having tasting and have outdoor seating. The first one we went to was Pindar as it’s one of my moms favorite wines. We ended up just buying bottles to take home, but you can purchase a bottle and have it outside at their outdoor tables.

The second winery we went to is called RDNY, it is where Martha Clara used to be. I really liked this wineries! They do a really great job in regards to social distancing. When you go into the store there are only two people allowed at a time.  You can buy bottles or get a flight to try (which is what we did). They also have cheese, crackers, chips that you can buy to have. Then you go outside to their tables. Each group has it’s own table under the canopies, so you are really far away from others. We ended up getting the 2018 Scielo Selection tasting flight.
